That's why every Voluta title goes through hands-on line editing, original graphic design, and a mindful print run. No endless catalog: we'd rather take real care of a few books, from manuscript to bookstore.

Curatorial reading
Every manuscript we receive is read in full. We reply to every author, even when the answer is no.
Hands-on editing
Text shaped side by side with the author: copyediting, two rounds of review, and a printed proof before the final file.
Original graphic design
Every book gets typography, paper, and a cover designed for its text, nothing off a template.
Wide release
Print and e-book, technically validated, on sale through Amazon, Bookshop.org, and Apple Books.

Born in Asheville, she's been writing since her school notebooks. "The Quiet House," her debut novel, took seven years and three moves to get right.
A journalist by training, a columnist by sheer stubbornness. The stories in "The Year of Small Rivers" grew out of a weekly column nobody asked for and everybody came to expect.
